The Medex Video Authentication Platform provides a groundbreaking forensic toolset for professionals such as law enforcement, journalists, lawyers, forensic examiners, and intelligence analysts. It automatically examines video files, identifies the camera and editing software used, and reports any modifications. Utilized by federal, state, county, and private agencies, Medex is employed in solving cases related to child exploitation video production, validating body-worn camera footage for court, and debunking disinformation videos. Medex Forensics specializes in developing transparent and explainable techniques for video authentication, emphasizing the importance of detecting fake media and establishing the context of a file's history rather than simply categorizing it as real or fake.
We're supporting Justice and Public Safety professionals to be able to establish trust by authenticating critical incident videos, to identify synthetic media and deepfakes, to ensure the effectiveness of citizen-submitted evidence, to identify and prosecute child predators, and to ensure the authenticity of video evidence submitted in court.
We're also supporting our colleagues in the Content Authenticity Initiative, by providing an authentication product that is provenance-aware and natively supports the identification of and validation of Content Credentials when they are present in media files being created by Adobe products and C2PA-aware hardware, like Leica Camera Ltd and Truepic.
