Explore What Data + Engineering Can Do to Unlock Operational Value

Founded in 2013, InSite is a leading solution partner for optimization in buildings, extracting value from data to engineer meaningful outcomes for its clients. We deliver financial and operational impact by harnessing our team’s expertise in engineering and building performance optimization. Our Engineered for Results approach combines an intelligence platform that collects and analyzes data for single buildings and entire portfolios with our program management teams who transform data into prescriptive recommendations.

With a collective 75 years of experience in mechanical rooms and on rooftops, analyzing and interpreting building data, managing energy consumption and increasing operating revenue, we are a data + engineering powerhouse that delivers results. Traditional maintenance is a reactive, break-fix process that’s hard to budget for and even harder to get ahead of. With InSite, our energy engineers don’t just identify problems, we help you understand which are the most important to fix and in some cases we even find ways to pay for them.

The InSiteGov approach

For government clients, we work directly in FedRAMP-certified cloud environments with extensive procedures in place to strictly adhere to clearance levels and data access controls. Federal, state, and local governments (as well as nonprofit organizations) adhere to unique operational management standards across several specialties, from HVAC and mechanical teams to security managers and performance auditors. InSite’s operational efficiency programs emphasize action across each of these teams without interrupting their missions.

InSite’s energy monitoring platform is currently deployed within a partner instance of the AWS FedRAMP GovCloud. This environment supports requirements across three key federal areas:Architecture

  • NIST 800-53
  • FAR 52.204-21
  • VA Handbook 6500.6

All development and application changes occur in a secure dev/staging environment which is tested and dockerized for deployment. All data and client-specific variables remain in the secure, managed environment at all times. Incoming data is also staged in an ingress AWS S3 data structure prior to both ingestion and processing.
