U-Reach duplicator/sanitizers utilize an FPGA to handle copy and erase operations. U-Reach uses a forensics approach to copying. The machines will copy all data from the source to the destination in the exact same location. The bit-by-bit copy method features a running hash to ensure data is copied accurately. After the copy finishes, users can use the compare feature to match target data back to the original. If both copy and compare operations pass, the user can be sure that the target’s data and formatting structure are identical to the source.
U-Reach machines offer a myriad of sanitation functions that can expunge data in the user space as well as inaccessible regions of the drive. Drives containing a host protected area (HPA) or device configuration overlay (DCO) can be factory reset and subsequently erased completely.
