CloudFit Software was founded by, and is run by, former cloud engineering leaders at Microsoft. Co-Founder and CEO, Carroll Moon, was the Senior Director of Service Management for Office 365 and its predecessors, as well as other Microsoft Clouds, for the majority of his ~18 years at Microsoft. Carroll authored 10+ patents at Microsoft including the Service Map concept that is widely adopted in the entire industry for Cloud Service Management. Carroll and all of his top lieutenants left by choice to start CloudFit to enable the DoD (and the surrounding ecosystem) in exactly this way. CloudFit’s Mission is to “enable every mission critical workload.”
CloudFit Software, LLC has a patented, accredited, meta-management platform (called “CFS” or “CloudFit Software”) that is the “accredited suitcase for all of CloudFit’s IP and automation”. The platform is included when CloudFit is providing managed services just as a lawn service provider brings their mower. CFS is currently part of ATO’d systems in DOD in both IL5 and IL6.

Further, at this point in CloudFit’s scale, the broad customer base is leading to unique insights that only CloudFit has—for example, CloudFit recently saw the same foreign endpoint attacking multiple CloudFit customers, so CloudFit was able to engage the right people from a counterintelligence perspective to flip the script to offense from defense with respect to cybersecurity.
