Internet Protocol Exchange (IPX) Network Solution

Syniverse’s IPX network provides a future-proof network architecture that reduces costs, elevates security, maintains quality and class of service, delivers geo-redundancy, and seamless regional and global connectivity all while ensuring an optimal user experience. Offering a secure, robust, all IP-based network that can prioritize time-critical data while delivering transactions at pre-defined and industry accepted service levels, Syniverse’s IPX network is a flexible private network that operates separate from the global internet, thereby providing additional security as compared to an internet-based network. Reaching over 800 mobile operators globally, Syniverse’s IPX network supports an unmatched network of directly connected operators along with key partnerships that connects to almost every part of the globe, allowing subscribers to roam both domestically and internationally. As a foundational platform for mobile connectivity, the IPX network supports legacy technologies such as SS7 and GRX enabling SMS/voice and 2G/3G data roaming services. Communication Services Platform (Business Messaging Service - BMS)

The Business Messaging Service is a white label solution which allows Syniverse customers to provide network-based, person-to-person “P2P” and application-to-person (“A2P”) services to its enterprise customers through Syniverse’s multi-channel SMS notification and mobile application offerings. The Syniverse customer will brand the solution while Syniverse manages the platform. Syniverse provides a website that is developed, hosted and maintained by Syniverse in accordance with the agreed requirements. The BMS service enables sophisticated two-way mobile application chats and SMS conversations between Customer’s enterprise customers and their employees or representatives (subscribers). Syniverse has been a Messaging and Interoperability provider, A2P Aggregator and P2P Hub for 20+ years.

  • Ability to send notification messages via enterprise protocols (WCTP, SNPP, TAP, SMTP).
  • Ability to provision individual users or bulk licenses; and ability to send notifications to groups.

Internet Protocol Exchange (IPX) Network Solution

The purpose of the Syniverse IPX Network is to facilitate interconnection between service providers according to mutually agreed upon inter-operable service definitions and commercial agreements. Syniverse’s IPX Transport Network is a global, private IP backbone network model, which is needed to support the Class of Service (CoS) model and provide the Quality of Service (QoS) SLAs defined in the GSMA standards, as well as custom CoS standards as needed by network operators. The general requirements for the IPX network closely follow the guidelines which are listed in the GSMA IR.34 and the security documents issued for the GRX networks.

Communication Services Platform (Business Messaging Service - BMS)

Syniverse Business Messaging Service Application Program Interfaces (“API”) are used for Service process automation and integration into the Customer enterprise’s ERP, CRM, Ticketing Systems, or E-Mail systems. Available APIs include:

  • SMTP – Email interface;
  • WCTP – An enterprise-polling interface used for one or two way messaging.
  • SNPP – Simple Network Peer to Peer Protocol
  • SMPP – standard SMPP protocol 3.4; and
  • TAP – Supports modem dial up and messaging.
