State and Local Agencies

In response to increasingly sophisticated cyberattacks and resultant data breaches, the State of New Mexico issued Executive Order (EO) 2024-011, to conduct comprehensive state-wide security and IT assessments to identify cybersecurity vulnerabilities and to harden defenses. The EO mandates all state agencies to adopt no less than moderate-impact security control baselines, frameworks and standards issued by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) by November 1, 2024, and annually thereafter.

By minimizing attack surfaces and increasing visibility into system vulnerabilities, Black Duck (formerly known as Synopsys Software Integrity Group) is helping government agencies assess their organization’s security posture, achieve NIST compliance and navigate the requirements of EO 2024-011 to secure essential applications.
