to Its GSA Schedule 70 Contract

Dell EMC VxRail Now Available to More Federal Agencies to Meet Data Center Compliance Requirements

RESTON, Va. — February 21, 2019 — Carahsoft Technology Corp., The Trusted Government IT Solutions Provider^®, continues its support of the General Services Administration’s Category Management initiative with the addition of Dell EMC VxRail hyper-converged integrated systems to its GSA Schedule 70 contract. Federal agencies will now be able to leverage Dell EMC VxRail to address compliance requirements around the Federal Data Center Consolidation Initiative (FDCCI) and the Federal Information Technology Acquisition Reform Act (FITARA), including the Automation of Infrastructure Management initiative underneath FITARA. This is the sixth Category Management award Carahsoft has received from GSA.

In addition to supporting these larger mandates, Dell EMC VxRail delivers key features for building a modern data center, including flash-based storage, scale-out architecture, software-defined models and cloud-enabled infrastructure, to speed time to value in the core data center, in the cloud, and at the edge.

Beyond supporting larger agency objectives, Dell EMC VxRail delivers immediate benefits such as reduced floor space, reduced power consumption and improved cooling abilities that better support day-to-day operations.

To enable federal agencies to evaluate Dell EMC VxRail, the category management offering includes a one-time pilot discount. One sub-agency within a larger agency is eligible to acquire Dell EMC VxRail at a reduction from the GSA price. Each pilot solution implementation includes complimentary hardware installation and remote configuration services through Carahsoft. Agencies which choose to renew outside of the pilot phase or purchase their Dell EMC VxRail also qualify for tiered discounts from the GSA price.
