Los Alamos National Laboratory’s Implementation of SAP Ariba and Fieldglass

During this webinar, attendees heard from Los Alamos National Laboratory's (LANL) Christine Hipp. Christine has worked across multiple business and IT organizations for over 20 years. In 2019, she moved to the Acquisition Services Management Division to lead the implementation of the new SAP Ariba and Fieldglass Source to Pay software.

This project was more than just a software implementation and undertook a complete transformation and optimization of the procurement business processes. Christine continues in the Acquisition Services Management Division as the Center of Excellence Leader, focusing on continuous improvement, analytics, and solution optimization.  

In this presentation, she discussed the implementation of Ariba Upstream modules, including Supplier Lifecycle Performance, Supplier Risk, Sourcing and Contracts have enabled the achievement of a complete digital transformation at LANL. To meet their expanding mission needs LANL's Upstream Procurement Transformation included:
  • Implementation of a Supplier Success Strategy and Program
  • Optimizing transactional efficiency through Managed Spend and Category Management
  • Automation of compliance requirements throughout the Sourcing and Contracting processes
  • Incorporation and digitization of the end to end processes to bridge multi-stakeholder processes to drive efficiency and transparency
