Common Data Fabric

Across the Department of Defense (DoD), Service Components and Agencies operate under unique titles, authorities, and missions, producing and consuming data in support of their missions. As a result, gaining access to data is challenging because it is stored in mission silos, behind special applications, and cannot be easily discovered or accessed by service components outside those mission boundaries. US Forces operating in a joint environment require rapid sharing of Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) data with allies and mission partners across service and mission boundaries. An Enterprise Common Data Fabric (CDF) provides such a solution, making ISR data available from data providers to data consumers via an enterprise data-brokering capability.
