The Intent to Compromise: Bypassing Firewalls and Cloud Security Vendors

Technologies like cloud, software containers, IoT, and mobile devices require more addresses than IPv4 can provide. Organizations feeling the effects of IPv4 address scarcity can’t rely on IPv4 indefinitely. With the OMB’s M-21-07 memorandum mandate, where all federal agencies migrate at least 80% of all IP-enabled assets to IPv6 environments by EOFY 2025, organizations have a more apparent need for IPv6.

In this first of a three-part IPv6 Workshop Series, attendees received guidance on migrating their organization to IPv6. This workshop included a video tutorial and interactive discussions with industry subject matter experts.

In this session, attendees learned how to configure:

  • IPv6 networks within the appliance configuration interface
  • A network and range for DHCPv6 and how dynamic DNS can be used for dual-protocol and IPv6-only hosts
