The Federal Bureau of Investigation released an alert on October 2nd, 2019 titled, "High-Impact Ransomware Attacks Threaten U.S. Businesses and Organizations." This alert warned us how ransomware attacks continue to harm cities, schools, and hospitals across the United States.

This comes as no surprise to anyone who's followed the wide-ranging ransomware attacks happening in cities, counties, state agencies and the school districts across the country throughout 2019. While some of the publicized attacks have appeared to be opportunistic, many more have been sophisticated and targeted.
