Byos Secure Endpoint EdgeTM is a small plug-and-play hardware edge device that provides the “first hop” protection when connecting to an unmanaged network (public or home Wi-Fi). It provides microsegmentation and route enforcement by replacing the endpoint’s native Wi-Fi, protecting across OSI layers 1-5 by becoming the gateway.
It provides the connected endpoint with true isolation from the rest of the network, and fills the gap left by security software by being the ingress/egress point for all internet traffic and not being susceptible to bypass and stealth attacks originating inside the endpoint’s OS.
Byos Secure Gateway EdgeTM isolates devices sitting behind it onto their own microsegment within the local network, protecting them from OSI layer 1-5. It has 3 different operation modes:
This approach provides protection from the attacks that are most commonly seen on Wi-Fi networks: eavesdropping, lateral movement, DNS poisoning, route alteration, Exploiting and DDoS, and rogue AP. Being at the real edge means security isn’t dependent on the Host’ IoT devices OS nor is delegated to the cloud - all security processing happens locally on the Secure Gateway Edge for maximum protection against typical attacks that rely on evasion techniques.
Embed our microsegmentation technology into your devices for true hardware-enforced network security at the edge. With an embedded Byos Secure Embedded EdgeTM, all incoming and outgoing traffic is routed through our software, where It provides the Host device with a dedicated network security stack, protecting from OSI layer 1-5, while isolating it from the local network onto its own microsegment.
