Earns Top Ranking for Value-Added Distributors

RESTON, Va. – June 28, 2018 – Carahsoft Technology Corp., The Trusted Government IT Solutions Provider™, today announced that it has ranked #38 on the 2018 Washington Technology Top 100 list, based on fiscal 2017 prime contracts in IT, systems integration, professional services and telecommunications.

In 2010, Carahsoft debuted on the Top 100 list at #99. This year, Carahsoft advanced into the top 40, ranked 12th out of privately held companies, and earned the #1 rank among value-added distributors.

The aggregate value of the prime contracts won by the Top 100 companies reached $105.3 billion this year, compared to $101.9 billion last year, making two years of back-to-back growth following five years of market contraction. The trend toward IT modernization and the adoption of new ways of managing IT such as the cloud are creating opportunities for companies. Executives also are heartened by a trend toward more industry engagement as evidenced by organizations such as the Defense Innovation Unit Experimental, which has partnered with over 40 private sector tech companies to solve national defense problems since its creation in 2015.
