Reston, VA— June 3, 2013 – Carahsoft Technology Corp., the trusted government IT solutions provider, today announced that Carahsoft president Craig P. Abod is an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2013 Greater Washington Award finalist. The awards program recognizes high-growth entrepreneurs who demonstrate
excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.
Abod was selected by a panel of independent judges from more than 80 nominations. Award winners will be announced at a special gala event on Thursday, June 20 at the Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Corner.
“Through the support and dedication of our government customers, vendors, reseller partners, and team members, we have built an incredibly successful company, and I am very honored to be included again among the finalists for this prestigious award,” said Abod, who has been selected as a finalist for this award six times.
Collectively, this year’s Washington D.C. area finalists grew their company’s employment by 25 percent and their revenues by 30 percent between 2010 and 2012. Carahsoft has doubled its work force in that time and now employs more than 350 people at its Reston, Va. headquarters office. It has also increased its revenue by more than 70 percent, with 2012 revenue exceeding $1.4 billion.
