Two Carahsoft Sales Execs Named 2017 Women of the Channel by CRN

Reston, Va. – July 7, 2017 – Carahsoft Technology Corp., the trusted government IT solutions provider, announced today that CRNCRN®, a brand of The Channel Company, has named Rebecca Brockschmidt and Maryam Emdadi Smith, to its 2017 Power 30 Solution Providers, an elite subset of its prestigious annual Women of the Channel list.
CRN’s editorial team selects Women of the Channel honorees based on their professional accomplishments, demonstrated expertise and ongoing dedication to the channel. The Power 30 Solution Providers belong to an exclusive group drawn from this larger list: women leaders in solution provider organizations whose vision and influence are key drivers of their companies’ success and help move the entire IT channel forward.
Maryam Emdadi Smith has been a member of the Carahsoft senior management team since 2007 and is a major contributor to year-over-year growth. In her current role, she manages the Dell EMC Technologies sales team with a keen focus on building and enabling the Dell EMC’s public sector sales team and channel partners through educational, networking, and demand generation activities. In 2016, she organized more than 50 training and networking events bringing together Dell EMC technologists and reseller partners to share expertise related to addressing public sector challenges. In 2016, she and her team led a push to expand Dell EMC’s footprint in the state and local market, bringing on 30 new partners to drive that business.
Rebecca Brockschmidt, six years with Carahsoft, is the Sales Director for the Splunk Public Sector team at Carahsoft. In this role, she works with Splunk to introduce the security and analytic capabilities of Splunk to government agencies and develops programs that enable the partner ecosystem to generate net new opportunities and nurture existing customers. She is also building out an Alliance Partner team that has on-boarded several new technology vendors whose solutions are complementary to Splunk technologies, including Insight Engines, Qmulos, Optensity >rapid response, Gemini and Syncsort.
