Long lines are a hallmark of motor vehicle offices, and the Arizona Department of Transportation’s Motor Vehicle Division (MVD) was no exception. By reworking how customers interacted with staff, embracing digital tools and communicating change effectively, the MVD was able to cut wait times by over half, slash overtime costs and save customers millions of hours each year.
