The recent passage of the Foundations for Evidence-Based Policymaking Act of 2018 (“Evidence Act”) codifies open data requirements, and provides a pathway for increased data transparency to the public.

CBP is changing the way they portray data on its public-facing CBP.gov website, partnering with Tableau to align with the Evidence Act as well as strengthen transparency and accountability. CBP strengthens their online transparency and the digital experience by leveraging a data-driven approach to dashboard development and monitoring public engagement.
