Carahsoft Makes Sixth Consecutive Appearance on Washington Business Journal Fast 50 List

Company Remains “Biggest of the Fastest” Companies in Metro DC Area

RESTON, Va. – October 10, 2012 – Carahsoft Technology Corp., the trusted government IT solutions provider, today announced that it has been ranked for the sixth consecutive year among the 50 fastest growing companies in the Metro DC area by the Washington Business Journal. The publication’s 2012 Fast 50 list ranked companies by average revenue growth from 2009-2011.

With 2011 revenue of $1.07 billion, Carahsoft was the largest revenue producer on this year’s list and ranked #36 based on an average revenue growth of 35.1 percent.

“Carahsoft is honored to be included again among the region’s fast growth companies,” said Craig P. Abod, Carahsoft president. “2011 was a banner year for us as we crossed the billion dollar mark in revenue, and 2012 is shaping up to be an even stronger year, as we continue to expand our staff and our services to better serve our government customers, technology partners, and resellers.”

Carahsoft’s inclusion on the 2012 Fast 50 list is the third honor the company has received from the Washington Business Journal this year. Carahsoft was also named to the publication’s Top Largest Private Companies list in July and the Largest Government Technology Contractors list in January.

Carahsoft was founded in 2004 and serves as the largest government partner for many of the industry’s leading software manufacturers including VMware, Adobe, Symantec, Red Hat, HP, SAP, EMC, and F5, among others. A top-ranked GSA contract holder and one of the top 100 government IT contractors in the nation, Carahsoft employs more than 285 people and will generate more than $1 billion in revenue in 2012.
