Carahsoft is honored to be recognized for our outstanding performance by the industry, trade press and, most importantly, our partners.
Reston, VA.--January 10, 2014-- Carahsoft Technology Corp., the trusted government IT solutions provider, today announced that it has received the 2014 Washington SmartCEO Future 50 award and has also been honored as a third-time recipient of the Blue Chip Award by the magazine.
The Future 50 award recognizes the Greater Washington area’s 50 fastest-growing companies based on employee and revenue growth over the past three years. The Blue Chip award differentiates the select companies that have earned over $125 million in annual revenue for the year. The award winners collectively made $3.7 billion in total revenue, with Carahsoft earning over 40 percent of that total, with annual revenue of more than $1.4 billion for the year of 2012. Through fast growth and high annual revenue, Carahsoft has proven to be a standout among the Future 50.
“We are honored to be recognized with this award for the sixth consecutive year,” said Craig P. Abod, president of Carahsoft. “Our continued growth and success is due to our committed team, government customers, and reseller and vendor partners. Through our collaboration with them, we have consistently been able to surpass our goals.”
Carahsoft was founded in 2004 and posted more than $1.7 billion in revenue in 2013. The company, which employs 400 people, serves as the largest government partner for many of the industry’s leading software manufacturers including VMware, Adobe, Symantec, Red Hat, HP, SAP, EMC, and F5 Networks among others.
“The companies we honored this year are growing in spite of the economic hardships we have all been facing. These companies are investing in themselves, investing in their people and rising above the rest. They deserve to be recognized and celebrated because they are moving the economy and the region forward,” says Jaime Nespor, regional president of SmartCEO. “We are proud to recognize them for their achievements and growth.”
